Social Media Netiquette

As part of our commitment to fostering a professional, informative, inclusive and respectful community, we have established the Social Media Netiquette. This document is intended to protect all users and ensure that conversations around Fidia, remain ethical, compliant, rigorous, accurate, and valuable.

By engaging with our social media channels, you agree to follow the rules outlined below.

  1. Respectful and inclusive Interaction: We encourage open dialogue, but it’s essential to maintain respect for all users. We do not tolerate offensive and vulgar language, personal attacks, defamation and discriminatory remarks.
  2. Illegal Behavior and Unethical Content: Any content that promotes unethical and illegal behavior, such as content that contains threats or incites violence, will not be tolerated.
  3. False and misleading information: We moderate our social media platforms to be a space of professional and scientific exchange. We thus encourage users to share reliable and accurate information as we do not accept misinformation, unverified claims, misleading and unlawful comparative advertising and fake news.
  4. Sensitive Information: On our social media platforms we do not tolerate content that discloses confidential or sensitive information of Fidia.
  5. Intellectual Property and Copyright: Always respect intellectual property rights. When sharing content (e.g., articles, images, or videos), ensure that you have the right to do so. Do not post copyrighted nor IP-protected material without permission or proper attribution on any of our social media platforms or in content that we are tagged in. Make sure that the content does not infringe nor misuse upon third person’s intellectual property.
  6. Avoid Sharing Personal Information: Respect the privacy of yourself and others by not posting or disclosing any personal information, such as pictures, email addresses, or phone numbers. Also sharing your or others’ personal medical information and history or confidential patient data and in general sensitive data is prohibited and may violate privacy regulations.
  7. No Medical Advice: Our social media platforms are not intended for giving nor receiving medical advice. Please refrain from sharing personal medical diagnoses, treatment plans, or suggesting off-label uses of pharmaceutical products. We reserve the right to remove misleading, false, or unverified claims that could endanger public health.
  8. No Discussions of Drugs & Medical Devices: We do not tolerate any information shared that reference drugs or medical devices and will remove the content from our site.
  9. Promotional Content and Spam: We welcome engagement, but please avoid using our platform for self-promotion, advertising, or unrelated promotional content. Any form of unsolicited advertising, spam, or excessive posting, that is designed to attract new followers to other pages, will be moderated and may lead to removal of content or account blocking. We also exclude content that is off-topic and unrelated to Fidia, our solutions, news, pipeline and operations, from our social media channels.  

We actively moderate our social media channels. Failure to follow the above rules may result in the removal of inappropriate or harmful content, and users who violate these may be reported or blocked from further engagement on our social media channels.

This netiquette ensures a respectful and productive environment for all participants, preserving trust and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
